'99 Cap & Rotor
Hello All,
I was flipping through the Quadratec Cherokee catalog and notice the Fireball Cap/Rotor/Wires kit for around $180. Question is that it only supposedly goes up to '98 w/ the 4.0L. What does the '99 and newer take? Im no super mechanic by any means, but looking under my hood, it looks like I have a Cap/Rotor set-up.
If anyone can help, It would be appreciated.

Dude, save yourself some unnecessary spending. Don't spend $180 dollars on a cap, rotor and wires. Go to your local Napa store and get a good quality cap and rotor with copper or brass (not aluminum) contacts....and a good set of heavy duty wires with the same and call it a day. You'll probably still spend around 60-80 bucks but, that $180 dollar set in Quadratec is a rip off.

I bought the Accel Tune up kit through my local auto parts store for like 60 bucks came with plugs, wires, cap and rotor. Works great and have had no problems with it.

Some of this stuff is like fishing lures..... made to please the fisherman, not the fish! Use what your jeep was designed for. Bling also applies to ignition parts!!!

Ive had great luck over the years with Napa also. Belden 7mm wires and Champion plugs and whatever cap and button they have in stock for the XJ. Cost me 75 bucks the last time i went, and that included the blind spot mirrors i picked up.
