92 jeep Cherokee 4.0 Will Not Start
After hurricane irene passed over my jeep wouldn't start.
Symstoms
About a year ago i was parked up a hill and the jeep wouldnt start, so i rolled down the hill to a flat spot and she cranked right up, I figured that some air got in the line or a fuel filter. It hasnt down that since.
About 5-6 months ago I went to the store and she wouldnt idle up like normal, i had to keep my foot on the gas. after i cut it off and came out back and started it and ran fine till now.
I went to crank the jeep up after irene went over with about 15 inches of rain, and she wouldn't start, ive tried numorous times. She is getting fuel i pulled the fuel line of the the fuel rail and it checked out fine. All my plugs and wires look fine. I figured it was the iginition coil and i replaced that and she still want start.
She turns over fine from the starter just not firing.
Sorry for being so long, Thanks for any and all help I cant afford a mechanic

There are plenty here who know better than me but....If you have no spark from the coil you might want to consider the crank position sensor. It's near the top of the bell housing on the drivers side. Has two wires with a connecter near the back end of the valve cover. Unplug and clean those connections there, AND disconnect your battery. Then put it all back and try it. Also there is a way to test the sensor with a meter.
I had to change mine years ago, I hear both that sensor AND those connections are a common problem. Good Luck! Don.

CPS might have gotten saturated with water, either replace it or undo the connector on top of the intake and let it dry or blow it out then try it should fire up.

Hi. The utube deal is not working for me. Also the cps sensor connection (on mine) looks the same and is located back by the firewall on the drivers side, with two wires going down. D.
