Default 9 inch. Big Bearing or Small Bearing?? (Pics)

So recently I bought a 9 inch housing and 31 spline shafts from a guy while on leave (Marine Corps). I believe it to be the big bearing housing but I never took too good of a look at it before I left back to Japan.

My father took a pic of the housing end, and I also had him measure the bolt dimensions on the housing flange.

Here is what I know:

The housing is 60.5" flange to flange.

The bolt dimension is 2.375" X 3.5" (Leads me to believe it is the big bearing)

The only thing that makes me think otherwise is a pic I found on internet which shows a large bearing next to a small bearing. The large bearing looks a lot bigger than what I have.

Here is my axle housing flange

Here is the picture that makes me think otherwise.

I have never put an axle together, but I am a jet engine mechanic.

I was thinking maybe there is a bearing race or a seal in my tube and that is why it looks like a smaller diameter than the latter picture?

Tell me your thoughts.

Definately looks like you have a bearing race in the axle. What vehicle did the axle come out of? That might be a a bigger key.

The guy I bought it from thought that it came out of a full size bronco, but he wasn't sure. Being that I got 31 spline axles with it which are offset 2.36", that would put me at a WMS to WMS of 65.22".

So I know that big bearing 9's have those measurements, are there small bearing housings that have the same measurements?
