Default 4x4 vacuum hookup

The 4wd went out in my brothers 89 xj, we trouble shot it and found that the vacuum line that goes to the actuator is not hooked up. We used a hand pump and put the jeep on jacks and it works when i apply vacuum to it, just don't know where to hook up the vacuum line at. If any of you could show me a picture of the inside of your engine compartment where it hooks up I would greatly appreciate it, thanks!

These pics are from my 89.

Of course you should already know that there are 3 lines coming from the vacuum shift housing 1 white, 1 green, and 1 yellow.

Those 3 lines connect to steel lines on the inside of the passenger framerail and turn up to the firewall.

The can be seen under the overflow tank on the passenger side fender well and behind the round canister.

The white line t's into a check valve located on the passenger side fender.

The yellow and green line connect to a junction with an additional red and blue line that is located on the passenger side of the engine behind the oil dip stick. That is as far as I got with the pics because it is 11 degress outside and even my camera was cussing about the cold.

I've got an 87 & just noticed the funny vacuum accumulator thing on the pass side, near the bumper is busted open. Can you tell me what it's for? I was thinking maybe for the cruise, which is inop anyway. I have a vacuum leak while running & would like to plug the line, if it's not critical for something else. Thanks.

Question Following the lines...

I've got an 88 XJ and my 4wd/air vents went out a bit ago. I know it's the vac system but I don't know where there's a leak or if there even is one. I replaced the blower motor around the same time the 4wd died so I think I might have disconnected a vac line accidentally.

I found this post and followed the diagrams and I did notice my check valve's power connector wasn't connected, but after reconnecting it there's still no 4wd/vents. But I also see that my BLUE vac line is not connected to anything (it's got a connector, but I can't find anything to plug it into).

If someone could please continue these pictures following the lines on up to where they're supposed to go I would be very grateful. Specifically where the the blue vac line is supposed to connect.

Thanks!

yes mine is too!! its driving me crazy because even alldata will not tell me where the blue line goes!! i had a bad check valve tho because the 4wd light tuns off when under med to heavy acceleration. i think the check valve is not sealing completely on the white line.
