4.56 or 4.88 gears for 35" tires??
what gears would be the best?
info-- 87 XJ ; 4.0, auto; just got 95 explorer 8.8 rear end, still has the stock front, going to put 6.5" long arm kit and 35's- not a daily driver but will be both on and off road.
What are the pros and cons to each gear set up??
Thank you :-)

4.88 will put you back to stock and give you your low end torque back.....im going with 4.88 on my 35" set up did you go with the new rough country 6.5" kit?

Ya that is the one I have decided on.. I have not purchased it yet though. Today I bought a 95 explorer for 600. I am going to take the rearend out of it and part the rest out... It seems a shame because it is in pristine condition.. all it needs is a radiator (and posibly a head gasket)..
