Default swaybar link broke...HELP!!!

while trying to remove the top bolt on the end link they snapped off, i will be going to the junkyard tomorrow to get used ones for now since i dont have a lift yet but my question is should i just get the original ones or make my own discos? i remember seeing a thread someone took two, cut them in half and welded the ends with bushings together but i cant seem to find it any where

New from AZ with hardware - $16.00

Part # SL248

Didn't see your XJ specs but that's for a '98. Your experience may vary.

UPDATE

Sorry....didn't see you were thinking about disco's. Helps to really read the question.
