Default Alarm/remote starter install, help!!

ok so, I am installing a two way alarm/remote start system in my 1991 cherokee laredo. I have power windows, locks AC, etc. and I believe it had a factory security system but, I'm not dead sure, I do know it has keyless entry but, I don have the remote. I am having a fair amount of trouble locating the correct wires for some of the components and understanding the crappy chinglish instructions, they make no sense. I've never had such a difficult alarm install and I NEED my jeep put back together asap, it's my only vehicle w AC and its HOT in Utah!

NOTE: I have the HAYNES manual as well as several other wiring diagram none of which seem to match the wiring colors on ANY of my Jeep's components. This is definitely not my first alarm install, just my first on an XJ

I have currently wired the remote starter module as follows as tested with multimeter:

UNDER DASH

RED (10 gauge wire) Power constant 12v +
IGN 1: hooked up to (10 gauge) purple wire
IGN 2 : unused-
Starter wire hooked up to (10 gauge) Blue wire
ACCESORY (10 gauge) orange wire

also: HOW DO I HOOK UP THE STARTER KILL RELAY??

I am so confused at this point and frustrated. the alarm diagrams are convoluted and make no sense.

so far am I correct? I tested them all out with the multimeter but, I am still unsure this is correct. the other thing I need to know is what the REAL color of the factory arm and disarm wires are and if I even need to bother with them. also anyone know what color the tach wire is? I know the voltage is supposed to fluctuate with RPMs but it'd save me a lot of time if I knew what I was looking for. thanks guys! Jason

I got to goto bed soon, hope this helps. Don't worry about the factory alarm. Alarms of that time period were not that advanced if your rig has been running with out the remote don't worry about it.

the starter interrupt/kill relay is wired with a small orange wire,(- signal) a small yellow wire (signal from ignition (+) and the two large green leads that are supposed to be connected to either end of the cut starter wire. I also need to know if the locks are a positive or negative trigger type. the manual has me wiring them i as negative but, I just checked and they aren't working which makes me believe they are the positive type...........GRRRR. next time I'll buy a Crimestopper or Viper! their instructions are great... CHECK OUT EBAY AUCTION

I am not positive but I believe the xj door locks are a reversle rest at ground system, you will need to wire up two relays in order to make it work if this is the case I have a bunch of prewired harnesses from dei and would sell one for $5 plus ship.

okay, so, after watching a video online I am thinking i didn't have the right wires connected to the remote start. I had mine connected to heavy (10) gauge wires and on the video they're more like 18-22 gauge.

did I have this right? I am so confused, and nothing I have found says what gauge the wires I am connecting to should be, I only kow the starter module has heavy gauge wires. they act like there is only one wire in the whole bundle that has power in a certain key position but, in reality there are a lot!

As long as you don't go with a smaller wire then you should be ok. There are going to be multiple wires, as many diffrent functions are happening at the same time. As long as you are not pulling "power" from wires off the computer your ok.

Again I have not put a keyless in an xj but this is what I was refering to.
