guys I knew about the body lift! im just telling you what my phone conversation was like.
I told him I would pass on the white one
now the 2nd black one in Chicago, he just lowered his price 1000
He is now asking 1900 for it
here is the thing about that. I have called him and texted him, he has told me more than once that he is getting a lot of calls on it
now its been about a week, and with all the calls he is getting you would think it would have been sold
there has to be something wrong with it...and I honestly have a rough time dealing with him...he is got to be one of the rudest people I met.....
he basically told me that he is too busy to answer a lot of my question and if I want the jeep I need to come with cash right now
my search will continue....

The second one looks pretty good at 1900. If hes a jerk.....offer him 17 take it or leave it. Youre probably not the only one hes turning off because of his attitude.

Would you marry her?
I don't have any idea who she is, but it makes about as much sense as "buying" a vehicle sight unseen. If you don't know what you are doing then pay someone that does.

Haha I agree.
funny thing is he listed it last week, I called him within 10 min of posting
he said and I quote "dude, I had like 5 people call me since I posted it, if you want the jeep just come with the cash, its first come, first serve"
I told him that I was from Michigan, and Chicago is a couple hours away so I cant just "run over there"
I asked him what day I could come and see it and he said he is really busy and no time to show it
I pretty much gave up...I have bad luck talking to Chicago people...they do things their own way down there
not to worry tho, I found a jeep:
http://fortwayne.craigslist.org/cto/4434901769.html
going to look at this one, nice guy, says its rust free and runs/drives awesome
said 2200 cash would buy it....I thought its worth looking at for 2200
what are your thoughts
its the aw4/231...and being a early 97 im thinking dana 35? maybe the 29 spline? hard to say as it was a transition year (I think its a 96 myself)
interior looks awesome, so does the paint
your thoughts on this one?

That's not a 97
But it looks pretty clean and he seems straight forward.
Don't drool over it quite yet.. As he doesn't even have the correct year lol
And there's no plates. Might be some back fees on the registration or something

yea I figured it was a 96, could be a simple typo or could be more
Im going to make the drive to look at it...he says its rust free, rockers are solid and the floors are solid, only surface rust
runs and drives nice, no shakes or wobbles
no weird motor noises....
it has higher miles, but any well taken care of 4.0 should last a long time
my 91 had 189k when I bought it, sold it with 250k on it and it ran better the day I sold it, than when I bought it
good high mileage oil and a napa gold filter, champion plugs and its ready to run

it does look clean. looks like a 96 too. If thats what you want go for it. It doe probably have the D35 27 spline... pretty weak rear. That's an easy enough swap though.
