Default 1996 XJ Country Aftermarket Stereo help needed

I just got a Pioneer DEH-11E for Christmas. I'm pretty smart with computers and electronics in general, so I figured I would be able to install it without paying some business a ridiculous amount.

Anyways, I've built computers and stuff before, so I've got a decent amount of experience, but I have no clue where to even start with this. I've looked around the internet for a few hours, but have yet to seen any set-in-stone answers.

This is why I've come to a XJ forum. Could anyone tell me the bare necessities I will need in order to install this aftermarket stereo, then we can continue from there.

Thanks guys

Glad I could help if your wiring is still all intact(which it should be) the whole install shouldn't take but 20-30 minutes tops. Its literally just take the old unit out, unplug everything, plug the new one in and put it in. Viola!

Yes, but what does he have to match colors to? the wiring harness already has a plug on the end of it.

you have to go from the one on the radio, to the adapter for after market radios.

Is there any exact name I need for it?

EDIT: http://www.crutchfield.com/p_1207010...e-harness.html

I guess that's it. Now to find somewhere local that sells it.

EDIT2: http://www.bestbuy.com/site/Metra+-+...wire%20harness ?

if you goto walmart, read each box. it will tell you the part numbers, and applicable models that the harness works on.
