Default 1994 leaking coolant

I noticed when I shut off my car yesterday that it was steaming, I opened the hood and there's coolant everywhere! Could it be a bad water pump, heater core?

You are the only one that would know since we can't see it. It could be coming from many places. Such as water pump, radiator, hoses, freeze plugs even a crack in the block. You are going to have to clean it up and start looking. It's not likely to be the heater core or the coolant would be leaking in the cab on the passenger side floor.

Alright if it was leaking from the water pump where should I be looking?

I had a freeze plug hole. If you engine isn't super dirty I would squeeze the bottom radiator hoes. Listen closely and be very distinct with your observations.

What I would look at. Thermostat housing Radiator Upper lower hoses. Check for cracks near bends and clamping areas. Freeze plugs. Heater core hoses. Coolent Tank. Water pump.

If you have a dirty engine bay get some engine degreaser and or carb cleaner and fire it away. It should clean it up a bit. Then check block. Hope all is well.

If it is the water pump they will normally leak at the weep hole. That's on the bottom of the water pump at the pulley shaft neck. It is a little hard to see unless you have a small mirror and a flash light.

So the upper radiator hose and the heater hose had holes in them and were rotted beyond belief and the water pump was also bad so I got it all replaced and no more leaks! 👍
