Default 1993 Cherokee cranks but wont start

I know that this has been asked b4 but the thing ran yesterday, went to start it this morning and it wont start just turns over, HELP

First you need to determine if it is a spark or fuel issue. Try spraying some starting fluid in the trhottle and seeing if it fires up even for a few seconds. If it does it's a fuel delivery problem. If it still won't start you'll need to check for spark

1. Check for spark. That is always the first thing I do with a no-start. You are looking for a strong, BLUE, snapping spark. Yellow/orange/white indicates a weak spark, which may not be strong enough to start the engine.

Test your way to a solution. Don't throw parts at this on a hunch!

alot of times the most common issue seems to be the CPS, or NSS... try starting it in N. if it does, then you need to clean/replace the NSS. getting it on a code reader is realy the only way to know what is happening.. but thats my guess for now...

If it turns over as the OP says, he can rule out the NSS. It wouldn't turn over at all if that was the problem.

thanks for the info, I tried starting in N but didnt turn over will check for spark, then check cps, thanks again
