Fuel Injector Control Circuit?
I was going down the road yesterday morning when the jeep started hesitating like it was missing. A minute later and the CHECK ENGINE light was on. I pulled over and did the key trick to check to code and it pulled up #27 which Hayes says is the "Fuel Injector Control Circuit." I was on my way to take a Chem exam so I had no choice but to keep on going. I had the same problem a couple times and each time I would just have to pull over, turn her off and then back on again, and she ran like new for a while. I started her up today and she was shaking like crazy and had the CE light on again. I cut her off and popped the hood and wiggled on the injector plug wires. Started her back up and she was fine for a while but the same thing happened not long after. I installed a set of the Yellow Ford 19# injectors a couple of months ago but I figured if they were the problem they would have acted up immediately after installation. I was hoping to get some clues as to what to try to get her running smooth again. Until then I am stuck driving a Lincoln Continental so I NEED SERIOUS IMMEDIATE HELP!
