Just click on the poster's name, then select "previous posts". Some are complete paragraphs. Some say "Yep".

Well I'm off to delete my C101, and make sure my engine block ground is a GO.

No change... Except my voltmeter is accurate now. I Checked the shift logic ground, and replaced the negative cable to the block just for the hell of it because I had the cable lying around.

0.0 using negative battery post to ring terminal for shift logic. When I get a minute I will check resistance between shift logic ground and its proper pin on the TCU connector.

I thought I had a spare TCU from an '89... Im going to hit up my storage unit after work, I havent been there in forever...

0.00 from negative battery cable to tcu shift point ground, and between TCU and shift point ground on engine block.

Might be worth trying a different TCU. 87 to 90 will "work".

I oughta contribute one of my spare ones to CC and guys could send it to each other for testing purposes.

Well I just wired up switches that actually work, and she shifts as soon as I throw the switch. I am about to head to storage now. Hopefully I have the TCU

Swapped out the TCU, no change.

I know for a fact I did not HAVE to be at a minimum speed of 25-30 MPH before the trans would shift into 2nd. I would let off of my throttle around 10-15 and it would shift into 2nd (back streets in town are 20MPH).

Meaning? The Trans side of your TPS may be bad?

Funny I was just thinking that. I have a spare TPS in the floorboard. Is there a test procedure to veryfy good tps (sweep range, etc)?

Ok I was adjusting it right. Is the sweep on the TPS linear? Voltage goes down?
