Magnacor wires over kill for a Renix 4,0?

Magnacor wires over kill for a Renix 4,0?
I been doing some reading on here and it seems no one runs the 8.5 magnecor wires for any 4.0 so I was wondering why that might be? Are they bad? I have never had any problems with them so I'm looking at your opinions on the subject thanks for any advice you may offer

Main reason is......the XJ is not a race car. Good quality ignition wires, right off the shelf at any local auto parts store, work fine on the XJ. Spend your extra money on XJ cooling system maintenance, not unnecessary racing ignition wires.

My though is that "depends on the price"
I bought an universal wire set from MSD, cost me like 40 bucks on ebay, it had plenty of wire, and only one terminal came attached to each wire (it was a V8 set), plenty of terminals and the tool to attach them nicely came with the package.
I did my 7 wires, from a really good wire quality, I adjusted the lenght the way I wanted, so they were not too short or not too long, even have spare wire to redo-them at least two more times, for a price that seemed to me fair and reasonable.
So for me, that was not an overkill, even thou the wires are too much for the jeep I was able to install a nice product made to match my needs.
Just my 5 cents!

Well ones made for the Renix 4.0 where 45.99 I think and they fit perfectly and has a lifetime warranty

My local Chrysler "MEGA DEALER" sells the original Jeep 4.0 wire sets for $47.99. I figure the first set lasted me 225K miles.. I have never had good luck with over the counter wires from auto stores.
Bonus: They are already numbered and match the original RED wires exactly.
