1987 XJ Pioneer Power Distribution Layout
Hey ladies and gents, I am working on a friends '87 Pioneer and need to know the layout of the power distribution center located on the passenger's side in front of the firewall. I am specifically looking for the layout of the 4 (or is it 5) icecube relays. I need to probe the fan circut to check for functionality. Also, there was a relay on the driver's side, that was stand alone it is located about 12 inches from the firewall. Thanks in advance for the help.

drivers side relay should be for the EGR, IIRC.
quick search of google for renix fan relays sends me back to CF and this post:

Thanks Defiance665. HMMMM, well the picture from the manual you sent says nothing about a fan relay being located in those four relays. But the relay mentioned in the thread that you sent me says that is the fan relay. I guess I will have to assume that it is the fan relay for now and try to prove it to be so through a continuity test. Thanks for your help. I will post my findings after I figure out what is going on.

Confirmed, the single relay on the drivers side is for the fan. I think that it becomes confusing because the EGR solenoid (that part with the vaccum lines leading into it) and the relay are actualy fixed to one another, thus giving the illusion that they are the same part when really they are completly seperate assemblies doing two seperate things. Thanks again for pointing me in the right direction.
