Default 12 volt constant

So . . . I bought my jeep and the stereo didnt work.
I purchased a new headunit and wired everything up. . . . nothing at all . no noises no lights nothingggg.

busted out the multi meter and test light. came to find out my 12 volt constant wire wasnt doing a damn thing.

so. . . i know that i cant run the wire straight to the positive terminal.. . .i know there are other ways to do this but this way is sometihng im familiar with.

would there be a difference in running it to the fuseblock thats labeled battery or what. what does make a difference going through the fuseblock?!

The wire is fuse #5 on your electrical fuse block (for a 1995) fuse #4 on older.

I would check to see if it missing or blown
