Default 00' Strange power loss

4.0, np231, 8.25 blah blah blah....

Recently my jeep has been losing power. It runs and idles like normal but when you give it more than half throttle it makes a throaty intake drone and barely accelerates. The sound it makes when i give it alot of throttle is actually very similar to what an aftermarket intake and air filter would make. I have a stock air cleaner and it seems like somebody jammed a sock in the intake!!

What do you guys think? I thought maybe it could be that the CAT was clogged somehow.

Its on... But i havent checked the code yet. It was always on before because of an O2 sensor.

Ill have to get it checked today.

I got it scanned. It didn't throw any codes except for the same one thats been on there for over a year which is an o2 sensor.
