I stand corrected...My suspicions were unwarranted and it was the script. Please try editing again if this happens to you too.

Thank you very much for taking the time to take a look friendly Cherokee Forum Moderators.

Alright CF. Bugout has started this thread as a way to bring attention to matters or ask for our help directly. I see this as a good thing in helping keep PMs and Reports for smaller matters down. So I give you all this, I have an "Open door policy" meaning you as members here can ask for my help or advice on anything you want (WITHIN REASON!!). As a Mod I will do my best to help you out.

Honored that you are going to allow it to be a regular contact Sir. The title change is welcome and much more accurate.

Really do appreciate the time and patience of the moderators here on CF.

Thank you.

PS, Now if we can get Dave to quit changing the subject...Lol (JOKING!)
Dave is great, he keeps the board moving!

Default Good Morning

I have a serious inquiry this morning concerning my photo album and the rotating photo widget on the home page. I see that the widget has started to add random images from my album and I am curious if there is something I can do on my end to keep some of the "Off topic" images I have in there from being picked up and displayed by the random image fetcher? or mark certain files so that it only fetches those?

It is such a pain for me to upload image files because of my current slow connection and I would like to keep some of them for future use and sharing but some of them do not quite fit the Cherokee theme around here. Can I do something to prevent some of these from being displayed on the home page yet still have them available for view if I link to them here locally in a post?

I work with scripts all the time but am having trouble figuring out how this script is handling these. Any help or advice on this would be greatly appreciated! Just trying to do my part if I can to stay in the scheme of things around here...

Sorry, there has been a constant glitch in the photo uploader and album since launching this app. They still have not got all the bugs out. Our best advice for this situation has been "If its something you don't with others to see or believe it inappropriate for younger viewers, please don't post or load it."
As we have had problems with "not so PG pics leaking out, if you catch my drift.

Oh no...nothing inappropriate...lol. Just images of Cooking Utensils, A Diesel Motorcycle, numerous Trail Pics and such that really don't quite fit the theme of the home page random photo fetcher full of "Cherokees". I have worked around the upload problem, but this is a little different issue.

Was just hoping there was a way to prevent the random image fetcher from including some of these without needing to delete them from my album. I looked at the controls on the files but wasn't sure if any of these would limit the homepage album random image fetcher or not without restricting my ability to still link to them for viewing?

I already have linked to a lot of these in past posts and am afraid that if I start deleting files to clean it up for the randomizer I will in turn be also creating dead links in the past posts at the same time. I didn't want to make a bigger mess of things by starting to delete these.

Default Request for possible consideration?

I would like to make a request for possible consideration. Would it be out of line to ask if a 2 way communications category of some sort be added to the home page categories? maybe under the trail discussion section?

I ask this because it appears that there may be more folks on here into 2 way communications than they share. In reality Jeeps, offroading and 2 way communications have a symbiotic relationship that is only second to over the road trucking.

It could attract additional visitors and traffic to the site? Please consider this option and if I hear nothing back it will be accepted as a decision to be respected for what it is.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this request...

Might be a decent idea to add a "electronic" section.

I seriously appreciate your consideration, I understand where you are pointing with that as General Topic Sir. A section like that could indeed filter a lot of the issues folks are dealing with on these into one area? maybe it could also help separate mechanical issues from the electronic issues?

You are the driver and we are just along for the ride

Thank you for your time to consider this possibility!

Would be a good idea for electrical tech and gadgets as we ALWAYS get asked about wiring components and tracking electrical gremlins. I know Cruiser would be onboard as well, instead of searching through lift and tire posts, have it simplified and up front.

Could the forum add the function of identifying the OP?
May add OP after the original posters name and/or use color for their name.
For multiple page threads this would be a big help.
All other forums are doing it.
