Default Colorado Pics.

Just would like to share my pics of some of our adventures here in Colorado. Feel free to post your Colorado trail pics. Too!

This is Halfmoon Creek by Leadville Co. It has two trails one pretty easy and the other is much more challenging. They both lead up to some historic mining camps. Depending on the time of the year the water crossing can be 30 to 40 inches deep. We went mid August to avoid it being to deep.

Great pics! I have only wheeled in Colorado once. My favorite part was all of the old mining towns with all of the water and stem powered equipment still there.

I'm liking those fenders on that blue xj. Do you have any close up pics or info on them?

I really enjoyed the pictures. I'm hoping that by next summer I will have made my Jeep reliable and capable enough that I can take it somewhere like Colorado and do some wheeling like this. Looks like a blast!

We went on the same trail in September. We only went to the Champion Mill; we didn't do the other trail. Unfortunately, the trail is now closed right below the mill. We heard it's due to a lawsuit by some group claiming that the forest maps show that end of the trail as non-motorized use only. We were also bummed that the old beaver dam is no longer intact. That beaver pond used to be a fun water crossing. But the views are still spectacular. I've also included a few pictures from some other trails in the Buena Vista area.

And I let my girlfriend drive most of the trail back, including the creek crossing:

We went out to Silverton in August. Man, that's pretty country.

Pretty sure this was on top of Hurricane Pass. Might be wrong.

Default Ouray, Silverton area

I am looking forward to my next trip to Ouray and hope to do the Alpine loop. Also hope to make it a overland trip, camping in the area and then the plan would be taking the trail from Montrose to Moab. Hopefully my trailer will be ready for use this summer. Some pics. of our trip two season's ago.

I'm going to the Cripple Creek / Pikes Peek area in mid May, only place in CO I could find that won't be impacted by snow in May.

Anyone ever been there? Any advice?
