NEED HITCH

hey im lookin for a hitch for a 2001 jeep cherokee, gettin a lift put on soon and wanna get hitch to intsall at/near the same time.

easy to do. go to your local auto parts store (probly advance auto) and ask for a hitch for an '01 XJ, the universal ones will not line up correctly. they will more than likely have to order it for you, but it only takes a day or two. i got my reese class 3 from them for like $120 i think, they ordered it and i had it about two days later.

Check out JCWhitney. I got a hitch about 6 months ago from them. It came with a 2" drop ball for a trailer FREE and was $129 shipped to my door. Great deal.

i'm assuming you want the hitch for recovery, if so, dont hook a strap to a trailer ball. so getting a free one doesnt really matter, unless you just sell it haha

He can use it for towing, as I do with mine.

sellin it was kinda the point lol. i hang out wit enuf guys tht it wld sell easy lol. i just need one so i can run in our local bogs this summer. tryin 2 find one at a decent price

check your local junk yards and craigs list for a cheeper way but if you got the cash then new is always better

JC Whitney's warehouse is in LaSalle. Right by where Illinois 251 crosses Interstate 80.

And you can't safely weld a hitch to a Cherokee. The unibody simply won't provide the needed strength for good welds...
