You want them for looks or actual protection? Besides protecting from scratches they dont do really anything

Up here in Alaska we don't do a lot of rock crawling so I don't need anything super rock resistant. Just brush and tree resistant

Can you weld? Bend some solid round stock to the shape you want then weld up
