Sent another box out 30 mins ago. You will not find a better sounding box that takes up not much space at all. 80% of the box is in the panel out of the way. Normal turnaround time is once I get payment, box goes back out two days later unless something comes up.

PM me if you want one.

I also include a message with instructions and pics on how to install the custom box. I hear the JL plastic boxes are 625.00 with no sub and they rattle badly. I can do my Boxes with a Brand New Kicker Comp Vr 10" for about 250.00. This setup in mine moves the roof and headliner up and down pretty good but yet is clear with no rattles. This is a true sealed box the only way to go.

I will get some Video of mine when I get some time. Got alot going on right now.

Figured I would leave some feedback for all you to read.

#1. KFX is a good dude to deal with! Period. No ifs ands or buts about it.

#2. The box is made good, it IS TOTALLY sealed for sure. Not sure if anyone has worked with this type of stuff, but trust me, Its hard to do it, let alone correctly.

#3. It takes up...well pretty much no room at all.

#4. If youre worried about the fabrication needed, its easy, bend a bit of thin sheet metal, cut some plastic, and tighten a few screws. You can do all this with basic hand tools if needed! Took me about 2hrs to get the whole thing in and cleaned up.

#5. It does not rattle, and the sub that is offered with it, is a darn good sub for being a 10", I downgraded from 2 12's, and I am still VERY happy with it.

#6. What good is this without at least one picture?!?!?

#7. Dont think of it as buying a sub box (unless you dont have one) think of it as buying CARGO SPACE back!

#8. If you buy one, you can officially say you own a "hellbox". Thats cool by itself lol (yes i nick-named it that, yes i hope it sticks).

#9. Seriously, the unit is awesome, and worth every penny i paid for it. If you want one, and can afford it, I would just do it! Its hard to find hand made stuff these days anywho!

Can you give an shot, I'd like a box in black. Also what amps have you been using with this set-up?

The layout that the box has to be will not allow a 12" sub. Pending what sub you have or going to get may be outdone with a 10" anyhow.

Well actually I could use spacing plates to get the sub out more and it would clear. Problem is, there still would not be the airspace you would want for a 12" sub. This setup is optimal for a 10" sub. The 10"s I use in my boxes are a perfect match up. It ends up sounding more like a 12". One 10" if given the right power will move the roof of your XJ up and down pretty well if you want it to.

I am still gonna get some video of mine in action once I get some stuff caught up.

Here's a question, I haul my dogs in the back of my XJ and they would rip a hole in a sub for sure unless it had a grill. Would a grill mess up the sound? It would have to be a strong grill I think to protect it.

Yes I can provide grills that would protect the subs. No they dont affect sound. This would prolly be the grills that I will use for those who want one with there box.

These first two are for the kicker comp Vrs that I offer with my box optional but will also fit other subs. These first two are also paintable in which I will paint them basic colors if someone wants that option. I can do them in Lime Green,Red,Black,Blue,Red,etc. Nice option to throw in there.

Depending on what setup you want whether its a box alone,Box with sub,or box with sub and grill,Box with sub with grill painted. I can also do lights mounted to this setup if anyone is interested. I can also make other types of sub boxes for our Xj's. Like one that fits right up against the back seat that dont come out far, I can sink a spot in it for an amp etc. I have done this for years and can do about anything you all may want. Best setup out there is the cubby setup I do though.

It is attached with L brackets to the sheet metal inside the panel. Once its done it is rock solid and pretty safe. If someone where to steal it they better have some time and tools. Before they could get to the bolts they would be caught. Besides the sub has to be out to get to the other side of the bolts. I send pics and instructions to you if you buy one. This is the old thread though. I now offer grilles and different colors. New thread is in the link below.
