So when I replaced U joints in my D30, i accidentally bent the ears of the outer axle shaft on the right side. I put the new u joint in, but only 3 of the 4 points would go in because of the bent ear thing. Anyways, it's clunking after I did some pretty rough off roading the other day so i figure it's broken for good. Is it ok to just take the whole axle shaft out until I can replace it? I'll just be without 4wd, right?

thanks

Alright well ill try to make this short but i want to add 2 aftermarket gauges to my jeep. Water temp and another one that i haven't picked yet. I want the other one to be of oil temp or oil pressure. Which would be a more important gauge to have for monitoring my jeep's status?
Heres the link for the gauge pod: http://www.autoanything.com/gauges/6...0A1809654.aspx
Again for a 94 XJ 2 gauge pod.

The water temp gauge needs a sending unit. So with a little research, it looks like out radiator hose up top is about 1.19 in on the inside diam. According to this: http://www.autozone.com/autozone/par...=2411_0_10495_

So if i bought this: http://www.glowshiftdirect.com/30-mm...ttachment.aspx Would the sending unit fit inside of the upper radiator hose correctly with the supplied clamps?

Thanks in advance,
Will

I turn it off and turn it back on again and it works fine. The a/c kicks arse btw. Instant cold. Is this an alternator issue? I would ***ume so but it runs at 14 amps forever all the time based on the dashboard gauge. Except for the first time i turn on the a/c.

The jeep starts fine and drives down my driveway fine, but when I get on the road and try to take off it wants to fall on its face, then I hear a pop and she runs great. It does it randomly, and the temperature of the jeep doesnt matter. It will do it cold or hot, but its just so random. Any ideas?

while driving my jeep died. got it towed back to my house. i have no fuel and no spark. looking for trouble codes, but my check engine light just stays on. i have tried cycling the a/c, and shifting through the gears as was suggested by another thread. my gut instinct tells me that my computer is shot. now here is the brilliant part- my battery recently died, and i put a deep cycle rv battery in there to get by for a couple days. did i fry something somehow? input appreciated.

How difficult is it to do? Are there any common problems I might run into? Does everything usually come apart fairly easy, or am I going to need a torch and air tools?
